A children’s story about Ballarat’s Avenue of Honour and Arch of Victory.
In collaboration with local land development company Integra and Ballarat illustrator Liv Lorkin. I am pleased to present my first children’s story book.
A creative adaption of a true story, the Three Thousand, Eight Hundred and One Trees (and each one has a name) aims to raise awareness of Ballarat’s iconic Arch of Victory and Avenue of Honour; and to pay homage to the people (Eleanor Lucas, Ted Price, Tilly Thompson and the ‘Lucas Girls’) who were instrumental in raising funds and rallying the community together to recognise Ballarat’s men and women who had enlisted to go to World War I.
