isn’t it weird how things kind of circle back?
Childhood Me loved to write stories. I wrote story after story with little care for what would be factually correct; just pure, untamed imagination.
Teenage Me was the poet. Verses about heartbreak, rebellion and a young girl trying to find her place in the world were penned onto foolscap paper and collated into scrapbooks.
Thrown into the mix for good measure, was the Aspiring Me – youth journalist, school magazine editor, speech-giver and the recipient of a few writing awards.
It made sense then, that Young-Adult Me went off to university to study Professional Writing and Editing; until I got sick of uni and sick of being poor and I quit that jam to go and (oh so cliché…) work in a call centre. Sayonara soul!
.A few circles around the sun, a career change here and there, a couple of kids who are almost taller than me and I find myself back writing again. Happily.
Writing for myself and writing for other people, like you.
For me, I write stories and poetry and thoughts that help me process the task of raising teenagers.
For you, I can write articles, words (we call it ‘copy’) for your website, product descriptions and packaging or promotional material; like brochures and handouts. I can write media scripts, speeches or your social media captions.
